So for the past few days or so, I’ve been trying to sketch references of Eilaysia, but none of them seemed to be turning out good. Then, one day, I started to think about how much she fit me and such. And, after about an hour of thinking of this, I decided that she actually didn’t really reflect my personality that well. She was a little to complicated and dark and…deep. That wasn’t really what I wanted to be or what I was. But, I forgot about it for a while.

Then, the next day, I found =cibex’s fursona tutorial ( [link] ) and I read over that, and it inspired me a little. So, that triggered me to think about how Eilaysia didn’t fit me that well, and about how I kept on drawing her as a dog instead of a gryphon (in pictures that I didn’t submit to DA). I asked *Taiyou-Da-Great if I should revamp her and possibly change her into a dog. She said I should, since I didn’t draw her as a gryphon very often. So, I began following that tutorial and sorting through many dog breeds and wild dogs, and I eventually found that the dingo was the most like me. So I began to draw a couple, and eventually I ended up with a dingo that was fairly simple, and seemed to reflect my personality more. And since she was no longer colored like Eilaysia, I decided to give her a different name, and the name Dark, despite how probably overused that name is, really stuck out and seemed to fit her.

So, knowing that Dark suited as a much better fursona, I decided to change my fursona for the LAST TIME. So no, I am not becoming one of those weird girls who change their fursona every day. This is the last time for a loooonnnnggg time, since I went through a lot of trouble to come up with her and she fits me.

And yes, her markings are still a little complicated, but not nearly as complicated as Eilaysia’s were. That was chosen to be that way for a reason, as well as a few other things-- like the color of her nose and the stripes and her scar and her blind eye. I won’t bore you right now with going through and writing down what all that means, but I probably will make some kind of picture pointing it all out. She has a mood necklace because I’ve always loved mood necklaces, and I think that it’ll help show her emotions a little more in pictures. Her colors and partial design inspiration were taken from the dingoes on this website- [link] especially the first one. They were by far the strangest dingoes I’d ever seen, which is why I was inspired by them XD

Ok, now some about the reference. I had to do the gradient with giant blurry brushes, because there isn’t a gradient tool on my coloring program DX I was determined to finally make one of those giant gondo references, so I hunted around through other references people made and gathered information that I could put on one. And when I was done, I ended up with this XD Oh, and by the way, the brown on the paw pads is only a little lighter than the brown marks on her front feet. And the chin/forehead color is also the color on her front legs, too. I added those front leg markings in at the very end, which is why I forgot to put them up on the color chart XD And those songs in the little box were a few songs that were gathered over time that I thought kind of described me, and others that described Dark, such as Submersed- Hollow. Some songs you’ve seen with Seatha or Eilaysia, too.

Now about Dark. Dark’s history and personality are up there, so I don’t really think I need to explain those again. I’m pretty sure the height, weight, and length do not fit the normal height, weight, and length of a normal dingo. But that is because, obviously, Dark is not a normal dingo XD And about JD and Dawn-- I had just finished making Dark’s design when I remembered that she needed a mate, and that alter ego-type things help to represent my personality just that much more. I didn’t feel like going through all the trouble of making a whole other character for a mate, and JD needed a back story, so I decided that he just fit in there. And because Patterdale Terriers are really small and Dark would probably trip over him, I changed his breed to a smooth collie ( [link] ) he’ll start taking on the look of one more in further pictures. And with Dawn, I decided to put a sort of twist in the names. You would think that it would be the other way around, that Dawn would turn to Dark, but I decided to do it differently. Mostly because Dark already seemed to stick to her normal form XD The differences between Dark and Dawn are on there, so I don’t really think I need to explain that much either. Oh, and her right eye, the eye that’s not showing on that picture, is pure white.

Dawn is, as I have said, not a normal dingo. She is from a pack of dingoes, as said in the reference, that are called the Moon Dingoes. Moon Dingoes are named so because all their names are the names of the moons of the planets in our solar system. They are the sons and daughters of the Star Dingoes, which was another pack that was captured by scientists. The scientists ran radioactive and other experiments on them, until they all formed those purple gums and purple pointy tongues, the odd mix of markings, the human-like eyes, their intelligence, and their “alter egos.” The alpha female of the Star Dingo pack convinced the rest of the pack that they could escape the laboratory and produce more smart, unique dingoes. She then got them all to change to their alternate form, and they broke out of the laboratory and ran free into the deserts of Australia. They then became myths to humans, creatures that were falsely sighted sometimes and such, even though they were, of course, real. Then they go on to have the Moon dingoes, and all that happens.
